3D MRE imaging study for vestibular schwannoma

Vestibular Schwannoma

Part of Brain & nervous system, Cancer, Ear, nose & throat clinical trials.

This study uses a special MRI technique called 3D MRE to look at the physical properties of vestibular schwannoma tumors (non-cancerous growths on the hearing and balance nerve) before surgery. The goal is to see if these properties can predict the tumor's features, which might help doctors plan better.

NCT05702749Recruiting
Vestibular physical therapy before treatment for acoustic tumors

This trial tests whether physical therapy focused on balance and dizziness before surgery or targeted radiation (SRS) can improve how people with vestibular schwannoma (an acoustic tumor) feel and function. It aims to help prepare your balance system before treatment begins.

NCT05641441Recruiting
Study hearing side effects after targeted treatment for vestibular schwannoma

This study looks at how targeted brain/skull-base treatment for a vestibular schwannoma may affect hearing (ear “ototoxicity,” meaning damage to hearing). It may help doctors better predict and prevent hearing problems in people treated for this tumor.

Tracking balance and inner-ear function after Gamma Knife for schwannoma

This study looks at how balance and inner-ear (vestibular) function change after Gamma Knife radiosurgery for vestibular schwannoma. It may help doctors understand what to expect during recovery and how well these functions improve.

Vestibular rehab for acoustic neuroma patients

This trial tests whether a specific exercise program can help with balance and dizziness in people with a benign tumor on the hearing and balance nerve (acoustic neuroma). It may be a good fit if you have a medium to large tumor on one side.

Early rehab after inner ear tumor surgery

This trial tests if early rehabilitation using a head movement test can help people recover balance after surgery for an inner ear tumor called a vestibular schwannoma.

Neurofeedback training to improve balance in vestibular schwannoma

This study tests whether brain “neurofeedback” training, along with a balance rehab plan, can help people with dizziness/balance symptoms from unilateral vestibular schwannoma. You may qualify if you can follow the study schedule and safely move your head and walk during testing.
