Zipalertinib for lung cancer with EGFR exon 20 mutations
Part of Cancer, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.
This Phase 2 trial tests zipalertinib (a targeted pill) in people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has specific EGFR mutations, especially “exon 20 insertions.” It may help shrink tumors or slow cancer growth, including in some people with brain metastases.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old and can sign the consent form
- Your lung cancer is confirmed on pathology as advanced or metastatic NSCLC
- Your tumor test shows an EGFR mutation that the study is looking for (often EGFR exon 20 insertions)
- Your cancer has measurable disease and you can provide stored tumor tissue for testing
- You are well enough to participate (ECOG performance status 0 or 1) and your blood/heart/liver/kidney tests are adequate
- If you have brain metastases, they must be stable after treatment, with no recent worsening and stable seizure/steroid medicines

This trial tests a new targeted drug (zipalertinib) combined with standard chemotherapy before surgery for non-small cell lung cancer that has specific EGFR mutations. It may help shrink tumors and improve outcomes.
This trial is testing a new targeted pill for people with EGFR-positive non-small cell lung cancer. It's designed for those whose cancer has grown after other treatments, and it works by blocking a specific protein that helps the cancer grow.
This study tests a new pill called PLB1004 for people whose lung cancer has a specific EGFR mutation (exon 20 insertion). It is for those who have not yet had any treatment for their advanced cancer.
This trial tests a new drug called zongertinib combined with chemotherapy, with or without pembrolizumab (an immunotherapy), for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has a specific change in the HER2 gene. The goal is to see how safe and well-tolerated the combination is.
This trial tests YK-029A as the first anti-cancer treatment instead of standard platinum chemotherapy for certain advanced non-small cell lung cancers with an EGFR exon 20 insertion mutation. It may help shrink or control tumors while improving how patients tolerate treatment.
This trial tests an experimental pill called BEBT-109 for people with a specific type of lung cancer (EGFR exon 20 insertion mutation) that has gotten worse after chemotherapy. The study aims to see if this targeted therapy can shrink tumors or slow cancer growth.
