Who can take part

  • You mainly have reflux symptoms like heartburn or regurgitation
  • You can understand the study and sign informed consent
  • You have NOT been diagnosed with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) before
  • You have not taken acid-suppressing medicines (PPIs or H2 blockers) in the last 3 months
  • You have not taken antibiotics in the last month and have not had most stomach or bowel surgeries
