Bacteria overgrowth in stomach condition study
Part of Digestive system, Immune system & allergy clinical trials.
This study looks at whether people with autoimmune gastritis (a stomach condition) are more likely to have small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), which can cause bloating and other symptoms. It uses a simple breath test and questionnaires.

This study looks at how symptoms of indigestion (dyspepsia) relate to a specific type of chronic stomach inflammation called atrophic gastritis. It is a simple observation that involves a short questionnaire.
This study tests a methane and hydrogen breath test to help diagnose small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) in people with digestive symptoms compared to healthy individuals. If you have ongoing belly problems like bloating, pain, or diarrhea, this test might help find the cause.
This study checks whether breath tests can help identify small intestinal bacterial overgrowth in people with reflux-like symptoms (heartburn or regurgitation). If you qualify, you may be asked to avoid certain medicines and treatments for a short time so the test results are accurate.
This study tests a probiotic pill for people with bothersome bloating and an abnormal hydrogen breath test. It aims to see if the probiotic helps improve gut symptoms.
This study looks at whether certain bacteria in the small intestine cause abdominal bloating and distension. It aims to help understand this common problem and find better ways to treat it.
This study uses breath tests to check for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) in people with chronic pancreatitis who still have stomach issues despite taking enzyme pills. It aims to find out if SIBO is causing your symptoms.
