Who can take part
- You are 18 to 75 years old.
- You have chronic pancreatitis with pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (low levels of an enzyme called elastase in your stool).
- You take pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT) but still have belly pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea, or unintentional weight loss of 10% or more in the last 6 months.
- You have had surgery for a pancreatic or bile duct tumor that removed part of your pancreas, leading to similar symptoms.
- You are scheduled for glucose, lactulose, and mixed triglyceride breath tests as part of your routine care.
