Biomarker test to guide early treatment for HR+ HER2- breast cancer

Who can take part

  • You have breast cancer that has spread or cannot be removed, and it is HR-positive and HER2-negative
  • You plan to start first-line treatment with hormone therapy plus a CDK4/6 inhibitor (usually ribociclib)
  • You must have measurable disease that doctors can track on scans (bone-only disease is allowed)
  • You’re at least 18 years old and can do daily activities at a moderate level (ECOG 0 to 2)
  • You are post-menopausal, based on age or your uterus/ovary status or ovarian-suppression treatment
  • You are not currently in another treatment study for metastatic breast cancer, and you can sign consent

This study follows people with hormone receptor–positive, HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer who are taking CDK4/6 inhibitor treatment (with or without an added blood test called DiviTum®). The goal is to see how well the standard treatment is working and whether DiviTum® (a serum TK1 activity test) can help guide monitoring.
