Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You are currently a patient in the medical ward of Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong
- You have tested positive for CRE (a type of hard-to-treat bacteria) in your stool or a rectal swab within the past week
- You are not pregnant
- You do not have a severely weakened immune system (like advanced HIV or recent chemotherapy that lowers white blood cells)
- You have not taken antibiotics in the last 30 days
- You can swallow capsules and have no serious stomach or gut movement problems
