- You are 18 years or older
- Your doctor plans to do a kidney stone removal surgery called 'mini-PCNL' while you are lying on your stomach
- The main kidney stone is between 10 and 25 mm (about the size of a pea to a grape)
- You have had a CT scan showing your kidney stones before the surgery
- You are not taking blood thinners and do not have a bleeding disorder
- You do not have a birth defect in your kidneys or had previous surgery on the same side of your urinary tract
