Predicting brain tumor genetics with MRI

High-grade Glioma

This study uses MRI scans to predict key genetic markers and outcomes in people with high-grade gliomas (aggressive brain tumors). If you are between 18 and 70 years old and have been diagnosed or are suspected of having a high-grade glioma, this research may help better understand your tumor without extra procedures.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with a high-grade glioma (WHO grade III or IV) or your doctor suspects you have one.
  • You are able to undergo an MRI scan for about 40 minutes, and you don't have severe claustrophobia or allergies to MRI contrast dye.
  • You have not had radiation or chemotherapy before your surgery.
  • You do not have any other serious illnesses or a history of other cancers.
  • Your tumor tissue has been tested for certain genetic markers (like IDH, MGMT, and others) or you are willing to have them checked.
