Gut hormone and eating behavior meal study

This study looks at how a natural gut hormone called LEAP2 affects appetite and eating behavior. You will eat a fixed meal and have blood samples taken to understand how your body responds.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.0 and 50.0 (this includes people without obesity and people with obesity).
  • You are generally healthy, with no history of diabetes, heart problems, or major medical conditions.
  • You do not smoke or use nicotine products (including e-cigarettes) and have not done so for at least 2 years.
  • Your weight has been stable (not changed by more than 5%) in the last 3 months.
  • You are not vegan, and you are able to eat dairy, wheat, and animal products (the test meals contain these).
