Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have resectable (can be surgically removed) squamous cell cancer in the head and neck at stage T3–4a, N0–2, and M0.
  • Your cancer has at least one measurable tumor area on scans (CT/MRI) that doctors can track.
  • You have not had certain prior cancer medicines for advanced disease (or you had chemo/radiation before, but enough time has passed—at least 6 months after the last platinum chemo or after advanced chemoradiation progression/recurrence).
  • Your overall health on exam is good enough for treatment, including an ECOG performance score of 0–1 and expected survival more than 3 months.
