Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You have a good performance status (ECOG 0 or 1), meaning you can carry out daily activities without help.
- You have a single lung nodule that looks like ground glass on a CT scan, or multiple nodules where the main one is ground glass.
- The nodule is in the outer part of your lung and has not spread to lymph nodes or other parts of your body (stage cT1N0M0).
- During surgery, a quick lab test (frozen section) confirms it is adenocarcinoma in situ or minimally invasive adenocarcinoma, not a more invasive cancer.
- You have not had lung cancer surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy before.
