Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have a Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) device already implanted for drug-resistant epilepsy or treatment-resistant depression.
  • You have completed the REVEAL study and your VNS settings are stable.
  • You are generally healthy aside from epilepsy or depression.
  • You can attend regular clinic visits and phone appointments.
  • You are willing to use birth control if you could become pregnant.
  • You have active health insurance that covers routine care.
  • You are able to eat eggs (the test meal includes eggs).
  • You weigh 350 pounds (159 kg) or less.
