VNS and Brain Activity Study for Depression

Treatment Resistant Depression

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must be currently in the REVEAL study and have a VNS (vagus nerve stimulation) device implanted for depression.
  • You must have had chronic depression (lasting 2 years or more) or at least 4 separate depressive episodes.
  • You must be able to read and understand English well enough to fill out questionnaires and follow instructions.
  • You must be able to have an MRI scan (no metal implants that are unsafe for MRI).
  • If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must agree to use effective birth control during the study.
