Lower-dose chemo for older women with HER2-negative breast cancer

This trial aims to see if patients who had a complete response to chemo before surgery can safely stop or reduce their targeted therapy afterward. It includes people with early-stage HER2-positive or triple-negative breast cancer who had no cancer cells left in the tissue removed at surgery (a pathological complete response).

This Phase 3 trial tests whether a shorter course of chemotherapy plus immunotherapy can work as well as standard treatment for early-stage triple-negative breast cancer. It avoids anthracycline drugs and may help reduce exposure to those medicines if the shorter plan is effective and safe.

This trial tests a chemotherapy-free approach for women age 65 and older with a common type of breast cancer (ER-positive, HER2-negative) that has spread to lymph nodes. Instead of chemotherapy, you would receive an oral targeted therapy (CDK4/6 inhibitor) after surgery to see if it can prevent the cancer from coming back.

This study tests a combination of three drugs—trastuzumab and pertuzumab (which target HER2 protein on cancer cells) plus a low-dose chemotherapy called vinorelbine—given before surgery in people aged 70 and older with HER2-positive breast cancer. The goal is to shrink the tumor so surgery is more effective while being gentler on older patients.

This Phase 3 trial studies different ways of giving common chemotherapy drugs (anthracyclines and taxanes) for locally advanced breast cancer that is HER2-negative. It aims to see which order or “sequencing” may work better for people like you.

This trial tests a stronger treatment (a CDK4/6 inhibitor) combined with less chemotherapy for early-stage breast cancer that is positive for hormone receptors and HER2. It aims to see if this approach works well while reducing side effects from chemo.
