Comparing Allegra and Sapien valves for valve-in-valve procedure

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a surgically implanted biological aortic valve that is not working well (narrowed or leaking severely).
  • You have symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, or dizziness, or your heart's pumping function has worsened due to the valve problem.
  • Your heart team has decided that a valve-in-valve procedure is the right option for you.
  • You are willing to come back for a heart ultrasound at 30 days and have a phone check at 1 year.
