Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 75 years old and have been diagnosed with liver cancer (HCC).
  • Your largest tumor is at least 10 cm (size of a grapefruit) and the total tumor size is at least 15 cm.
  • Cancer has limited spread to the portal vein (type I or II) or to other parts of the body (5 or fewer spots).
  • Your liver function is fairly good (Child-Pugh class A or B) and you have no serious health issues like bleeding or fluid buildup.
  • Your blood counts and kidney function are within safe ranges (check with your doctor).
