Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old
- You have diabetes as defined by standard guidelines
- You have a diabetic foot ulcer that is either infected or starting to heal (granulation stage)
- You are willing to take part and sign a consent form
- Your blood sugar is not too high (fasting glucose no more than 15 mmol/L and HbA1c no more than 12%)
- You have no active bleeding inside the wound
