Who can take part

  • Your breast cancer must be ER-positive and HER2-negative, confirmed by a recent biopsy or stored tissue sample.
  • Your cancer must have come back while you were on or within 12 months of finishing hormone therapy after your initial treatment.
  • You must not have received any cancer treatment (like chemo, immunotherapy, or targeted therapy) for advanced or metastatic disease yet.
  • You need to have measurable disease (like tumors that can be seen on scans) or non-measurable disease (like bone-only spread).
  • You must be able to perform daily activities without much help (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • If you are premenopausal or a man, you must be willing to take a medication to suppress ovarian function during the study.
