Bedside bone biopsy for diabetic foot infection

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have diabetes
  • You have a foot wound that reaches bone, or an X-ray or scan shows bone infection
  • You have not taken any antibiotics in the last 14 days
  • You do not need immediate foot surgery and your leg blood flow is not severely blocked
