Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have been diagnosed with stage IV periodontitis (a severe form of gum disease that causes bone loss around teeth).
- You have at least one front tooth on the upper jaw that is pushed outward (flared) and has a small bone defect (less than 5 mm) near it.
- You are generally healthy, without serious conditions like diabetes, heart disease, or obesity, and not taking medications that affect inflammation.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you are able to attend follow-up visits.
- You do not smoke more than 10 cigarettes a day, and your gum pockets are not deeper than 5 mm with bleeding after initial gum treatment.
