Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (a type of cancer) confirmed by biopsy
  • Your main tumor or a swollen lymph node is larger than 3 cm
  • You are well enough to be up and about (ECOG score 0-2)
  • You are scheduled for surgery or chemo-radiation to treat the cancer
  • You are willing to have extra MRI scans for the study
