Who can take part
- You are 18 to 80 years old
- You have squamous cell cancer in the head and neck (mouth, throat, or voice box)
- Your tumor is at least 20 mm (about 2 cm) based on exam or CT/MRI
- You can understand the study and you can sign consent
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you cannot join
- You cannot have had chemo, immunotherapy/biologic therapy, radiation, or major surgery for this cancer before
