Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a type of head and neck cancer called squamous cell carcinoma, and it is over 3 cm in size on imaging.
  • You are able to walk and care for yourself (ECOG 0-2).
  • You are scheduled for surgery, radiation, or chemoradiation with the goal of curing your cancer.
  • You are willing to have repeat MRI scans and can lie on your back for about an hour.
  • Your kidney function is adequate (creatinine clearance at least 30 ml/min).
