Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older
  • You must have a type of head and neck cancer (squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity, throat, or voice box) that has spread or come back
  • You must be generally active and able to care for yourself (Karnofsky score above 60%)
  • You cannot have serious heart disease, a recent stroke, or a history of severe allergic reaction to certain chemotherapy drugs (cyclophosphamide or fludarabine)
