Who can take part
- You have either atypical endometrial hyperplasia or stage IA, grade 1 endometrioid adenocarcinoma that hasn't spread outside the uterus.
- You are 45 years old or younger and want to keep your ability to have children.
- You have not taken any cholesterol-lowering medications, even if your cholesterol is normal or abnormal.
- You are either newly diagnosed and haven't used progesterone or similar hormones, or you've had one or two treatment cycles (12 to 24 weeks) with some response.
- You do not have severe liver or kidney disease, other cancers, or conditions like blood clots, stroke, or heart attack.
- You do not drink heavily (more than 20 grams of alcohol per day) or smoke heavily (more than 15 cigarettes per day).
