- You are between 40 and 70 years old and need a first-time cemented total knee replacement (a standard knee replacement using bone cement).
- You have not had any previous knee replacement or other major knee surgery that would affect the study.
- You have no personal or family history of blood clots in your legs or lungs (deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism).
- You do not have any rheumatic diseases (like rheumatoid arthritis) or certain leg circulation problems.
- Your knee deformity (bowleg or knock-knee) is not more than 10 degrees, and you have no post-traumatic arthritis.
- You are willing to sign a consent form and follow the study's schedule and instructions.
