Who can take part
- You are under 65 years old and need a first total knee replacement for arthritis on the inside of your knee that causes a bow-leg angle.
- Your other hip, ankle, and opposite knee joints are basically pain-free (mild pain that doesn't stop you from moving is okay).
- You can walk at a speed of about 2.5 miles per hour (like crossing a 100-foot room in 30 seconds) before surgery.
- You can walk outside without help or with just a walking stick.
- You are able to complete walk tests before and after surgery.
- You speak and read English well enough for online questionnaires, and you have a smartphone to use for surveys and taking photos of your knee movement.
