- You are a woman between 13 and 30 years old
- You have been diagnosed with menstrual staphylococcal toxic shock syndrome (severe fever, rash, low blood pressure, and peeling skin)
- Your symptoms started within 3 days before or after your period
- You have used tampons or menstrual cups in the last 3 cycles
- You have never had toxic shock syndrome before
