Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 85 years old.
  • You must have a deep vein clot that started within the last 14 days.
  • You are being treated with a mechanical device to break up and remove the clot.
  • You must not be allergic to heparin, low molecular weight heparin, or contrast dye.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You must not have any other serious condition that would make it hard to complete the study or limit your life to less than 6 months.
