  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have a type of esophageal cancer called squamous cell carcinoma that is locally advanced and cannot be removed by surgery.
  • You have not had any prior treatment for esophageal cancer, like chemotherapy or radiation.
  • You are in good enough health to receive chemotherapy and radiation, with no serious heart or lung problems, active infections, or autoimmune diseases.
  • You are willing to use effective birth control and not donate sperm or breastfeed during the study.
