Using diaphragm ultrasound to predict recovery in COPD with breathing support

Who can take part

  • You must be diagnosed with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and currently having a flare-up.
  • You are over 40 years old.
  • You do not have severe obesity (BMI over 40).
  • You are not in a coma, have unstable blood pressure, or a dangerous heart rhythm.
  • You do not have a collapsed lung, facial burns or trauma, a tracheotomy, or active stomach/intestinal bleeding.
