Gene test to guide infection treatment in AIDS

Who can take part

  • You must be HIV-positive and have reached the AIDS stage (CD4 count below 200 or had an AIDS-related infection).
  • You must have severe pneumonia or septic shock (a life-threatening infection).
  • You must be between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You cannot have brain lesions, severe liver disease, cirrhosis, or cancer.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
