Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with severe or mild pneumonia based on standard guidelines.
  • You are an adult or child meeting the specific pneumonia severity criteria.
  • You have a leftover sample from a standard test, like a nose swab, throat swab, sputum, blood, or lung fluid.
  • Your sample is not contaminated, and if you had lung fluid drawn, there was enough (at least 200 microliters).
