Stent-assisted coiling for wide-neck brain aneurysms

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have a wide-neck brain aneurysm (neck width at least 4 mm or dome-to-neck ratio less than 2).
  • The main blood vessel leading to the aneurysm is 2.5 to 4.5 mm wide.
  • Your doctor plans to treat the aneurysm with a stent and coils.
  • You are able to take blood-thinning medicines (antiplatelet therapy) before and after the procedure.
