  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You are scheduled for wrist surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
  • You do not have any condition that makes a nerve block risky (like an allergy to the numbing medicine or an infection near the injection site).
  • You do not have a nerve problem or neurological condition in your arm that could affect pain sensation.
  • You are not pregnant.
