Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have a tracheostomy tube and the balloon is deflated for at least 6 hours each day.
- You can use a cap and phonation valve (with deflated balloon) for at least 1 hour.
- You can breathe on your own for at least 3 hours at a time without a ventilator.
- You have had some shortness of breath in the last 3 days (rated above 0 on a 0-10 scale).
- You are able to fill out questionnaires about your breathing.
