Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 85 years old.
- Your AV fistula has been used successfully for dialysis at least once.
- You have a new or returning narrowing (at least 50% blocked) in the vein that carries blood away from the fistula—but not in a main artery or central chest vein.
- The narrowed area (or areas close together) is no longer than 100 mm (about 4 inches).
- You have symptoms from the narrowing, like high pressure during dialysis, lower blood flow, or an abnormal feel during a physical exam.
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, and you can take blood thinners as needed.
