Stent for sudden heart artery tears

Who can take part

  • You have a sudden tear (perforation) in a blood vessel of your heart or a bypass graft that is 2.5 to 5.0 mm wide.
  • You can safely take blood-thinning medicines (antiplatelet drugs or anticoagulants).
  • You are not allergic to any materials in the stent, such as silicon carbide, polyurethane, or cobalt chromium alloy (including tungsten and nickel).
  • The tear can be reached and treated with a stent.
  • You do not have an untreated bleeding disorder.
