Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have sepsis or septic shock (a serious infection affecting your whole body).
  • Your kidney function is low (GFR less than 40 ml/min).
  • You have a bloodstream infection caused by Gram-negative bacteria, and your doctor has decided to use an aminoglycoside antibiotic.
  • A family member or close relative must sign a consent form for you to join.
