Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You are currently hospitalized at the Azienda Consorziale Policlinico di Bari in Italy
- You have been diagnosed with pneumonia (community-acquired, hospital-acquired, or ventilator-associated)
- Your doctor has decided to start an antibiotic covering MRSA as a first treatment
- You can be enrolled within 48 hours of starting that antibiotic
- You do not have a weak immune system, chronic airway infection, or suspected MRSA infection outside the lungs
