Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have pneumonia that started while in the hospital or after being on a breathing machine.
  • You have signs of infection like fever, cough, or breathing trouble, and a recent chest X-ray or CT scan shows a new or worsening pneumonia.
  • You are not allergic to antibiotics like penicillin, cephalosporins, or meropenem.
  • You have not received strong antibiotics for more than 24 hours in the last 3 days, and you have not been in another clinical trial in the last month.
