Magnesium and Riboflavin for Post-Concussion Headaches

Who can take part

  • You had a concussion and went to the UVA Student Health Center or Emergency Room for your first visit.
  • Less than 3 days have passed since your injury.
  • You can swallow capsules.
  • Your concussion is not complicated by a brain bleed, skull fracture, or other serious injury.
  • You do not have kidney problems, significant stomach or bowel issues, or a history of 2 or more concussions.
  • You are not a varsity athlete, pregnant or breastfeeding, or taking certain medications (tetracycline, fluoroquinolone, iron, digoxin, chlorpromazine, or penicillamine).
