Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • Your head injury happened within the last 8 hours and the study drug is started quickly.
  • You have a moderate traumatic brain injury (doctors rate this with a GCS score of 9 to 12).
  • You have a normal blood pressure and oxygen level at the start of the trial.
  • You are not pregnant, have no major other injuries, no severe heart or kidney disease, and are not on long-term steroids.
