COPD Oxygen Study: Sleep and Exercise

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

This study looks at how brief drops in oxygen levels during sleep affect lung function, health, and survival in people with moderate COPD. Participants will do exercise tests and have their oxygen levels monitored to better understand the disease.

Who can take part

  • You have COPD stage 2 or 3, group B or E (as your doctor defines it).
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have been using the same long-acting inhalers for at least 4 months.
  • You are able and willing to do a 6-minute walk test and a bike exercise test.
  • You have not taken part in another clinical study in the last 3 months.
  • You do not have serious health issues (like advanced heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or nerve/joint problems) that could make exercise tests risky.
