- You are 60 years or older
- You attend regular meetings of an elderly group in Porto Alegre
- You can see, hear, and think well enough to safely do the exercises and tests
- You have not had a heart attack, chest pain, or heart problems in the last 6 months
- You do not have a recent broken bone or upcoming surgery that would prevent exercise
