T-DM1 after incomplete response to initial breast cancer therapy

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer (a type of breast cancer that is positive for a protein called HER2).
  • After your initial chemotherapy (which included an anti-HER2 drug), you still had some cancer left in your breast or lymph nodes when your doctor checked.
  • Your doctor plans to give you a medicine called T-DM1 (Kadcyla) after surgery, along with hormone therapy if your cancer is hormone-receptor-positive.
  • You have not had another type of cancer in the past.
  • You do not have any medical reason that would make it unsafe to take T-DM1.
