Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder or social anxiety disorder
  • You have significant social avoidance (like avoiding social situations or feeling very anxious about them)
  • If you take medication for mental health, your dose has been stable for at least 3 months (no changes)
  • You do not have bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or substance use disorder in the past year
  • You have no history of seizures, epilepsy, or brain injury with loss of consciousness over 5 minutes
  • You do not have any metal implants or devices in your body (like a pacemaker or metal clips)
