Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have a confirmed diagnosis of bile duct cancer that has not been treated yet and cannot be removed by surgery.
- Your cancer has spread to nearby tissues or other parts of the body and is causing jaundice (yellowing of skin/eyes).
- You are able to care for yourself (ECOG score 0-2).
- Your blood counts and kidney function are adequate for chemotherapy.
- You have not had prior stents placed in your bile ducts.
- You do not have other serious medical conditions that would limit life expectancy to less than 3 months.
