Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with Takotsubo syndrome by a cardiologist
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have had an echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) and a cardiac MRI at the start of the study
- You do not have other types of heart muscle disease
- You have not had a heart attack in the past
- You do not have serious valve disease or other permanent heart damage
